Training and Education

Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, I made aliyah to Tel Aviv with my family in 2018. I earned my MSW from Columbia University’s School of Social Work where I was intensively trained through the Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) training program. I am a licensed Social Worker in both Israel and the US.

In my training, I provided one-on-one counseling and psychotherapy to high school students at Frederick Douglass Academy II; lead group psychotherapy sessions at FEGS Bronx Pros, an outpatient mental health facility; and performed adolescent intakes and assessments as a counselor at The Door, a NY-based organization focused on empowering young people to reach their potential by providing comprehensive youth development services. My extensive work with adolescents led me to appreciate the use of mindfulness in the treatment of a variety of mood and anxiety disorders. This appreciation fostered my interest in DBT, where mindfulness is a core component.

Before making aliyah, I trained at Brooklyn Heights Behavioral Associates (BHBA), a DBT-focused private practice. Since moving to Israel I have been working at a DBT-focused clinic in Modi’in. In Modi'in my work involves co-leading DBT skills groups and providing individual DBT sessions. In addition to DBT, my areas of expertise include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness based interventions to treat anxiety and depression.
